How have you managed to keep costs under control?

Keeping costs under control is one of the most important tasks for a producer. It allows us to have total visibility of the project, which is beneficial for moving forward quickly and confidently. When it comes to the company’s overall costs, having control and visibility enables us to project and plan our future steps and strategies with greater certainty and support.

In our first experience with a large project and a significant budget, we remember that due to our enthusiasm and eagerness to do everything and meet the client’s needs, we ran the risk of losing money by neglecting the budget updates at times. That first experience taught us that control must be constant because a moment of oversight can lead to mistakes, and the costs can be very high.

I am Nicolás Taylor, the founder of ARENACINE, a global content studio with offices in Los Angeles, Buenos Aires, and Barcelona. With over 14 years of experience in the audiovisual industry, I have been fortunate to work with a variety of clients and production companies on projects ranging from advertising to documentaries and television programs.

Originally from Argentina and currently based in Los Angeles, my journey in the audiovisual world began with a deep passion for visual storytelling. Throughout my career, I have learned that production is not just about technique, but about fundamental values like collaboration, creativity, and respect. I am convinced that every project is an opportunity to connect with others and to build an environment where ideas can flow freely.

At ARENACINE, we apply these same principles. We are dedicated to bringing authentic and meaningful stories to life. Although we have only been in the industry for 7 years, our passion for creation and our constant pursuit of excellence have allowed us to stand out in the production of television programs, films, documentaries, branded content, and advertisements.

One of the most significant challenges we faced was adapting to a changing and competitive environment at the start of our journey. The COVID-19 pandemic brought a series of unexpected obstacles, from halted shoots to uncertainty in project financing. However, instead of giving up, we seized the opportunity to reinvent ourselves. We implemented new technologies to facilitate remote work and found creative ways to continue producing content, which allowed us not only to survive but also to grow during a time of crisis. This experience strengthened our collaborative spirit and taught us the importance of adaptability in the entrepreneurial world.

Every project we undertake at ARENACINE is a new adventure, and we work tirelessly to ensure that every detail is carefully considered.
